Gangotri Dham

Gangotri Deve  Gangotri  is a town and a  Nagar Panchayat (municipality) in  Uttarkashi district  in the state of  Uttarakhand , India. It is a  Hindu  pilgrim town on the banks of the river  Bhagirathi  and origin of River Ganges. It is on the Greater  Himalayan Range , at a height of 3,100 metres (10,200 ft). According to popular Hindu legend, it was here that Goddess Ganga descended when Lord Shiva released the mighty river from the locks of his hair.

Rishikesh - Yoga Capital of the world Rishikesh  is a city,  municipal corporation [1] [2]  and a  tehsil  in  Dehradun district  of the Indian  state ,  Uttarakhand . Located in the foothills of the  Himalayas in northern India, it is known as the 'Gateway to the  Garhwal Himalayas ' [3]  and 'Yoga Capital of the World'. ] It is approximately 25 km (16 mi) north of the city  Haridwar  and 43 km (27 mi) southeast of the state capital  Dehradun . According to  Census of India, 2011 Rishikesh had a population of 102,138 making it the seventh most populated city and in the state of  Uttarakhand . It is known as the pilgrimage town and regarded as one of the holiest places to  Hindus . Hindu sages and saints have visited Rishikesh since ancient times to meditate in search of higher knowledge.

Kedarnath Temple

Kēdārnāth Mandir  ( Kedarnath Temple ) is a  Hindu temple  dedicated to Lord  Shiva . It is on the Garhwal  Himalayan range  near the  Mandakini river  in  Kedarnath ,  Uttarakhand  in  India . Due to extreme weather conditions, the temple is open only between the end of April (Akshaya Tritriya) to November (Kartik Purnima - the autumn full moon). During the winters, the vigrahas (deities) from Kedarnath temple are brought to  Ukhimath  and worshipped there for six months.
